Last week, as we looked for new streams to share, we stumbled onto something special. Dead Air Fresheners, a house band from an “anarchist jurisdiction”, is a family band that is out of this world. They have been described as "the Partridge Family for experimental music". Their stream is not just music though, it is also a visual experience. DoublePlay PDX Couch Tour

Friday, Oct. 23 - 5 pm to 6 pm

PDX Couch Tour has another Friday stream featuring DoublePlay. The group, started by David Pollack, is an alt-rock project from Portland. PDX Couch Tour was started as a response to Covid shutting down most shows in the Portland area. They have been streaming through these rough months, and each show is unique. Brendan S. Pumpkins: A Smashing Pumpkins Tribute

Friday, Oct. 23 - 7 pm to 9 pm

As a part of a “Shelter in Place” concert series, Brendan Getzell is bringing a night of Smashing Pumpkins tributes. Friday is the 25th anniversary of the release of the Smashing Pumpkins album Mellon Collie & the Infinite Sadness. The first half of the night will feature the heavier songs from that album. The rest of the night will feature songs from across the band’s career, though primarily stuff from the 90s.


Robin Jackson and the Caravan -$20

The Alberta Rose Theatre - 3000 NE Alberta St. - Portland, OR


Robin Jackson and the Caravan, an indie rock band out of Portland, will be at The Alberta Rose Theatre to hold a livestream dedicated to China. Their music is truly serene. In 2012, their song “Roses and Gold”, blew up in China, with over 32 million streams. With such a large following, they decided to try and bridge the cultural gap. Turbo Drive Party-in-Place

Friday, Oct. 23 - 8 pm to 12 am

DNA Lounge - San Francisco, CA


The DNA Lounge down in San Francisco is bringing a night of synthwave/retrowave and a variety of indie electronic dance music (EDM). A host of DJs will be providing hours of dance beats. Apparently, there will also be cyber gogo dancers. Learn more here.


The Kathy Moore Super Power Trio: Animals by Pink Floyd

Friday, Oct. 23 - 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm

As a part of their “Staycation Festival”, The Katy Moore Super Power Trio, is performing Pink Floyd’s entire 1977 album Animals. The album is a musical allegory of George Orwell’s 1945 book Animal Farm. The event is being hosted by the music streaming site Live Concert Stream and The Royal Room, a Seattle music venue.


Craft Wonderland Virtual Market

WNPDX Stream Fest 7.0

What’s Next PDX - Portland, OR (Remote)


What’s Next PDX is a production group out of Portland that has been doing a “Stream Fest” throughout the pandemic. The group hasn’t put out too much information about who is playing this week, but they did say they have “something special up [their] Sleeve”. We are excited to see how the set plays out.


OSU Bands Livestream

Saturday, Oct. 24 - 3 pm to 5 pm

Oregon State University Wind Ensemble - SW Pioneer Place - Corvallis, OR


The Oregon State University Wind Ensemble is performing a livestream concert this Saturday. The Wind Symphony Woodwind, Brass, and Percussion sections will be performing alongside the Ensemble. Some of the performed works will include Phillip Sparke’s “Dance Movements”, Viet Cuong’s “Bull’s Eye”, Brian Balmages’ “Fanfare Canzoniques” and more.


Virtual Mushroom Festival

Sunday, Oct. 25 - 10 am to 5 pm

Mount Pisgah Arboretum - 34901 Frank Parrish Rd. - Eugene, OR


Last weekend, we featured a mushroom festival that was happening in Canada. This week, we figured we would bring the mushroom-love a little closer home. The Mount Pisgah Arboretum out of Eugene and the Cascade Mycological Society are hosting a mushroom festival this Sunday. There will be cooking demos, a live Zoom ID session, and presentations from a variety of mushroom lovers. Learn more here.
