Love & Hip Hop: Valentine’s Day Dance Party - $14

Get out your dancing shoes, because there’s a Valentine’s Day dance happening at Ladd Taphouse. This all-ages dance party will be sure to get your heart pumping. With live performances from Marcus McCauley, Scooty, Dante Thomas, and special guest B Knock, you are sure to have an exciting Valentine’s Day.


2nd Annual Rx Fest - $10 - $35

Wow, this is a big event. Forty bands will be playing across four different locations over the three day event, which is a benefit to support Outside In, Q Center, Planned Parenthood, and P:ear. These groups help so many in the community and benefits like this go so far to help them continue their incredible work. So, come out and listen to many spectacular bands while supporting a great cause. Want to listen ahead of time to some of the artists? Mo Troper is celebrating the release of his new album, Natural Beauty, at the Holocene this weekend. Accompanied by Tender Kids, and Phone Voice, the show should be a good way to end the weekend.

Valentine’s Day at Half Penny with Norman Sylvester

Oregon Music Hall of Famer Norman Sylvester will be playing at Half Penny for a night of blues, soul, and celebration. Bring your loved one and spend your Valentine’s night in the company of a phenomenal band.


Murder Mystery Valentine's Day Event (21+) - $75 (Reservation Required)

What could be more romantic than helping to solve a murder? Chateau Bianca is having a special murder mystery event which runs for two hours. You get to help solve the case (or maybe become a suspect yourself) while professional actors help the party through the one-of-a-kind event! Your ticket also includes a bottle of wine, hors d’oeuvres, and even locally made truffles, plus the exciting experience of an interactive mystery!


Matinee: Salem’s Drag Brunch

The Space is hosting an all-ages drag brunch for the first time and it is going to be awesome. If you have never been to The Space or a drag queen brunch show, you should remedy that by going this weekend! While there is no cover, please, be sure to buy food or drinks and tip your queens.

Bourbon Street: A Mardi Gras Celebration - FREE

The Tap and Growler is having their inaugural Mardi Gras celebration, which is going to be four days of excitement. There will be Louisiana-style food, which will include delicious dishes like shrimp po’boys or gumbo, amazing drinks and music! All ages are welcome to the event until 9 pm.


Valentine's Day Jazz - $5-10

Let's be honest, jazz is great and you should listen to more jazz. Plus, it’s inherently romantic, so take your lovely Valentine to The Campbell Club for a night of great music. The performers are from the University of Oregon, so you are supporting local artists while having your ears seduced by smooth jazz.

Come out for Brother Ali, Open Mike Eagle, and DJ Last Word for a night of rap and hip-hop. This show is part of Brother Ali’s new tour, Secrets and Escapes, to promote his new album of the same name.

So, get your romance on (or not) with some karaoke and see where the night takes you. Also there will be a limited amount of free glow sticks, which is fun.
