Festival of the Last Minute - Free!

Tom McCall Waterfront Park - 98 SW Naito Pkwy
One part Saturday Market and one part arts festival, this celebration of local musicians, artists and makers of all kinds is thrown together organically at the end of the year, hence the name. There will be hundreds of vendors, dozens of musicians and every other creative thing the people of Portland can muster (which is nothing to sneeze at!)
MagicFest Portland - $20+

Gatherers and cosplayers of all shapes, colors and sizes will join together for this celebration of all things Magic: The Gathering. Not only is there a two-day grand prix tournament, but the artists behind the beautiful card illustrations will also be on hand for talks and signings. You must be registered to get a ticket to the event.
Oregon Symphony - Cirque Nutcracker - $52+

Not only is this ballet a holiday classic, it’s a sweeping allegory of love and war. The music will be performed by the artists at the Oregon Symphony, and tickets are running out fast.

A night of local music featuring headlining act The Ferenjis from Salem, this will be a night of smooth, jazzy rock ‘n roll.

Psychedelic rockers Dream Wulf are releasing their EP All Things Unconsidered and this show is in celebration of that accomplishment. Dream Wulf will be joined by local artists Queen Chief and Fire Nuns.

Christmas Festival of Lights
Every Weekend of the Month - 5 pm tp 10 pm

This annual festival is happening all month long, but there’s something especially magical about going on or around Christmas Day. In addition to the lights, there will be choirs, petting zoos and puppet shows.

This annual event showcases the launching of many ships on the Willamette River, bedecked with lights and decorations to fit the season. The event will also have carolers, hot food, cocoa and coffee, and benefits will go toward the Lewelling Neighborhood Association.
A Slightly Darker New Wave Xmas Eve - Free!
