We rolled up big boulders of snow and stacked them with smaller, perfect snowballs in order to make the family of festive snowpeople that is our 2021 Holiday Event Roundup. While there still isn’t the full slate of events that we’re used to seeing in Oregon thanks to social distancing concerns, we managed to find a gingerbread-baker’s dozen of different happenings in December. We’ll also add more events in the coming weeks to clue you into New Year’s celebrations and other local hidden gems that we may have missed.

Saturday, Dec. 4 - 10 am
California Street - Jacksonville, OR
Jacksonville’s Victorian Christmas brings an 1800s feel to the classic Christmas celebrations. While it’s really a month of events kicking off all over town starting with a late November tree lighting, the parade is the main attraction and you’ll learn about plenty of other opportunities to get into the holiday spirit in Southern Oregon.
Pastega Christmas Light Display
Nov. 26 - Dec. 31 - 5 pm to 10 pm
Benton County Fairgrounds - 110 SW 53rd St. - Corvallis, OR
These time-honored light displays are some of the most beautiful in the state, allowing residents of the Willamette Valley to drive through a twinkling course that’s 100% free. While there’s no charge, attendees are encouraged to bring canned food, which will go to food insecure families in the Corvallis area.
Bootah’s Claus Festival

Pacific North Pole - 1607 NW Gerke Rd. Prineville, OR
This weeks-long festival includes all kinds of fun and family-friendly activities, including a hike to Santa’s Workshop and a place to send your letter to Santa and his elves courtesy of the Postal Service. There is also a Hot Hive, where attendees can warm up with a cup of cocoa or other warm beverages.
Christmas Storybook Land
Linn County Fair & Expo - 3700 Knox Butte Rd. - Albany, OR
This drive-thru and indoor experience provides people with weeks of fun and spectacle in the mid-Willamette Valley. The tours include gorgeous displays, vendors and plays on your favorite holiday characters and nursery rhymes. There’s even a Star Wars Day on Saturday, Dec. 12.

Emerald Park - 1400 Lake Dr. - Eugene, OR
Come support dozens of local craft and food vendors at this outdoor holiday market in this small neighborhood park. Not only are holiday bazaars a great way to find unique gifts for the special people in your family, you can find all sorts of artistic inspiration from your fellow Oregon creators.
